Since my childhood, I have had the chance to travel in many countries around the world with my parents. Even now, as an adult, I continue to travel from country to country and from continent to continent to discover unique populations, cultures and landscapes. A visit to South India is one of my best escapades. This gigantic point plunging into the Indian Ocean offered me wonderful moments of relaxation which I would like to share with you through this article.
My overall impressions
Before to share my best memories during my trip to India, http://inde.marcovasco.fr, I would like to tell you in a few lines about the itinerary of my getaway. South India is the region that includes the Indian states of Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka as well as the territories of Pondicherry and Of Lakshadweep.
Before flying to this destination, I learned a lot about the strengths and weaknesses of the region. Thus, in my research I found if I wanted sun, hiking, idleness and wilderness, this southern part of India was the most suitable for my stay. In addition to poverty, overcrowding, hustle and bustle and traffic problems in its cities, South India has given me unforgettable experiences and made me discover exceptional sites that are engraved in my memory.
The unforgettable experiences of my journey
During my stay in South India lasted only a few weeks, I did not have the chance to discover all the States of the region. However, my journey was enough to make me discover and live superb experiences :
Ayurveda in Kerala
It is a form of traditional Indian medicine practiced for several millennia. I had the pleasure of visiting an Ayurvedic spa during my stay in Kerala. This experience had fallen right after the long walks of my exploration of the Edakkal Caves. Luxurious and inviting to relaxation, the spa consisted of a hammam, a sauna and a jacuzzi. If Ayurvedic hospitals are dedicated to the treatment of health problems, spas focus on fitness, rejuvenation and, relaxation. This relaxation cure with herbal and medicinal herbs allowed me to recharge and reinvigorate before continuing my journey.
A relaxing stay in Goa
Visiting Goa is one of my best memories during my trip to southern India. Fascinated by culture and history, I loved walking around its cities to visit its architectural heritage, like the Cathedral of St. Catherine and the Basilica of the Good Jesus. The discovery of its expanses of spice plantations was very fascinating. To relax, I enjoyed lounging on its beautiful beaches of Anjuna made of magnificent fine sand, punctuated by coconut trees and caressed by soft waves. The spectacle of the sunset was breathtaking during my stay in Goa. Unforgettable !!
