VIP collection at airplane and escort via diplomatic passport control where your driver will wait for you to bring you to www.Saxon.co.za  Africa’s leading hotel and which served as Nelson Mandela’s home for the first years after he was released from prison.

1 night at the Saxon Hotel, relaxing by the pool, afternoon outing to get a sense of Johannesburg – the city of Gold – with its incredible history, and then a dinner at one of York and Tamar’s favourite restaurants.

28th December 2017.
After a wonderful breakfast, one driver will take your luggage while another driver with a very special tour guide will take to see the cave where the oldest human remains where find, followed by a private tour inside of the oldest gold mine in this area – owned by a close friend. Lunch at the famous
http://www.restaurantmosaic.com for a gastronomic one of a kind experience with amazing South African wines. Then a 1h45 easy drive to http://www.zebrascrossing.com  where we will have the entire lodge to ourselves – a complete Out of Africa experience. 29th December 2017.
Early morning drive (40 min) with a small bag packed to http://www.saxon.co.za/en/nelson-mandela-villa for your BIG 5 safari experienc /where you will encounter lions, elephants, rhino, buffalo , leopard etc. Complete safari luxury experience in Nelson Mandela first private home which will be closed off for the our group only. Lunch on a boat at a dam between the animals, Afternoon safari followed by a fantastic dinner with a private chef and staff, sitting by the fire and celebrating life and nature.

30th December 2017.
Back to Zebras lodge, your private “home away from home”, time to put your feet up and truly relax and enjoy this little paradise. De-stress from all the travelling, lie by the pool, hand feed the zebras or go for a walk amongst the giraffes. Massage therapist will offer neck & back massages during the day. Lunch, afternoon coffee and cake, and then a lovely game drive to see the wildlife in the nature reserve.  Convivial dinner prepared by our chef. And all the while surrounded by a wonderful selection of amazing South African wines.

31st December 2017
New Year’s Eve Celebration
Relax and enjoy a glorious morning with a divine breakfast made by your private chef. We will have a lovely tour to see how do the local people prepare for new year’s celebrations and learn to make local beer. An afternoon siesta will be the perfect setup ahead of a night of dancing and partying under the African stars. The theme for the evening is: African Roots – the origins of humanity.

1st January 2018.
Today is time to detox, sleep, rest, enjoy paradise and – for those that wish – pursue a number of activities while the staff and the Chef at Zebras Crossing spoil you.

2nd January 2018.
Flexible programme, for those that wish to relax or those what want to go and see the surrounding areas such as the wildlife rehabilitation centre that part of the proceeds are donate to, or play a round of golf, SPA outing, etc.)

3rd January 2018.
Depending on flight departure times and interest in shopping in Johannesburg the programme is flexible. In any case, the entire lodge is completely and exclusively available until late afternoon.

You will be completely safe and looked after. There is NO malaria in the areas you are travelling. Johannesburg, Zebras Crossing and Marataba are at 1.720 meters above sea level. Humidity is relatively low. Expect sunny skies with an afternoon showers and clear night skies. No need for elegant clothes – aim for safari chic and you will be fine and of course don’t forget the dress code for New Year’s Eve party : African Roots.
